Configuration information specific to particular phones

Nokia N95 / Nokia E63

Here are the Nokia-specific settings tested under eGroupWare 1.4.002:
Tested Nokia E63 on eGroupware 1.6.001
First we need to create an eGroupWare sync profile - we do this by navigating to:
Menu  (the button with elliptic icon on the left to the cursor block ) -> Tools -> Sync -> Options -> New sync profile

The configuration is divided into 3 sections:

Sync profile name:

Any name can be chosen for the sync profile. Recommended name: eGroupWare.

Applications:

Contacts (configuration is mandatory, otherwise the sycn profile won't be active):

Include in sync: Yes

Remote Database: ./contacts

Synchronisation type: Both ways

Calendar :

Include in sync: Yes

Remote Database: ./calendar

Synchronisation type: Both ways

Connection settings:

Server version: 1.1

Data bearer: Internet

Access point: "Always ask" or we choose some default access point

Host address: http://your_server/egroupware/rpc.php or https://your_server/egroupware/rpc.php

Port: 80 (for http:// above) or 443 (for https:// above)

User name: same_as_for_egroupware_login

Password: same_as_for_egroupware_login

Allow sync requests: Yes

Accept all sync requests: Yes

Network authentication: No

Nokia 5800

Tested on eGroupware 1.6.003.
The Nokia 5800 combines calendar and todo. Use ./caltasks as calendar-URL or otherwise todo items will disappear from your phone! (for me they only went into egroupware's task list and reappeared after changing to caltasks).

Sync can be found under Settings->Connections->Data transfer->Sync
Now "Create new Sync profile"
Sync profile name:

Any name can be chosen for the sync profile. Recommended name: eGroupWare.

Applications:

Contacts (configuration is mandatory, otherwise the sycn profile won't be active):

Include in sync: No (not yet tested, but should work - please test yourself and remove this notice)

Remote Database: ./contacts

Synchronisation type: Both ways

Calendar :

Include in sync: Yes

Remote Database: ./caltasks

Synchronisation type: Both ways

Connection settings:

Server version: 1.1

Data bearer: Internet

Access point: Better leave this at "Default", other settings sometimes caused connection errors for me.

Host address: http://your_server/egroupware/rpc.php or https://your_server/egroupware/rpc.php

Port: 80 (for http:// above) or 443 (for https:// above)

User name: same_as_for_egroupware_login

Password: same_as_for_egroupware_login

Accept sync requests: Automatically

Network username / password: same_as_for_egroupware_login (don't know if this is really necessary)
